Well into the first our of this 3 hour trip, a hunt of images and their hidden meaning through the Nevada desert, Las Vegas, Canada, Switzerland and India, director Peter Mettler says something along the lines of: “at this point I started to understand what this film was all about”. We feel the same, as at some point in the film, we overlap Mettler’s often enigmatic imagery to some of our own subconscious ripples and some sort of unclear meaning appears. Less majestic and more personal than his 2012 The End of TimeGambling, Gods and LSD feels the work of a filmmaker with no debts to pay.
