Strong, simple, original premise - a couple preparing to celebrate their 45th marriage anniversary receives news from the past! And what news! It’s Haigh’s merit for managing to keep credible such a preposterous piece of news (the body of the man’s girlfriend from 50 years ago, who disappeared after an accident, is discovered frozen in ice in the Alps) and not only, but engaging and a vehicle for triggering actual profound reflections on age and relationships.

Charlotte Rampling is a very expressive actor, yes.
