🎉 DOK Leipzig is the oldest documentary film festival in the world, founded in 1955. We are super happy to participate in this edition!!!

"Inspired by Romanian photographer Costică Acsinte's archive of 5,000 glass plate negatives from the 1930s-1950s that have long survived undiscovered, a touching love story is offered to the audience. In 1939, Anna Florea meets the young soldier Jean Mihail in her native village in Bucovina. A moonlit kiss seals their affection. But all too soon, Jean is ordered to the front. His passionate letters keep the bond alive. But when Anna has to flee the war, contact is severed.

Their great love is fragile, damaged by war and time - just like the old studio and everyday photographs this animated documentary uses to illustrate optimism and impending loss. Anna Florea herself narrates the movie: in retrospect, at the age of 91. Her warm and gentle voice reanimates the memories seemingly stored in these photographs. Those "frozen" on the photographic plates begin to move, are made to glow in oil paintings on glass, blossom and carry us with them into the past."

Tot pe 9 octombrie, "filmul cu bunica" ajunge la Ajaccio, Corsica, Franța, la CORSICADOC!

Pe 20 octombrie, rulăm la Cinéopen Festival de Pontarlierîn Franța

Pe 21 octombrie strălucim pe ecranul Festival du Film d'Animation pour la Jeunesse de Bourg-en-Bresse

Pe 22 octombrie, ne întoarcem în Europa de est, la Cracovia, în Polonia, la Etiuda&Anima!

Iar între 19 și 24 octombrie ne regăsim pe malul Bosforului, la festivalul de animație Canlandıranlar din Istanbul, Turcia

"Pur și simplu divin" - "Simply Divine" cunoscut și ca "filmul cu bunica", realizat în ultimii zece ani alături de Mélody Boulissière, va fi difuzat toamna aceasta la poate cel mai mare festival de film documentar din lume: IDFA Amsterdam, ce va avea loc între 14 și 24 Noiembrie, 2024. Mândri peste poate!

Începând de mâine, până în luna iunie a anului viitor, sunt participant al rezidenței artistice "ARTE incubation“ din Paris. Împreună cu alți nouă oameni, urmează să dezvoltăm proiecte audiovizuale, să testăm idei și să explorăm noi teritorii artistice.

Dear friends of the Wood Art Museum,

As of September 15 I will end my contract as manager of the Museum in Câmpulung Moldovenesc. It has been an honor and a joy to manage the most representative cultural institution of the city for almost four years.

The reason why I have chosen not to continue for another term is due to the priorities of my professional and personal life at the moment. I will tell about future projects in another post.

Today I would just like to extend a series of thanks to the people who have facilitated my work at the Museum over the past four years and to whom I owe a debt of gratitude.

First of all I would like to thank Mr. Mayor Mihăiță Negură for his unconditional support during these years. I would also like to thank the secretary Rodica Erhan, the members of the Local Council and the other colleagues from the Câmpulung Moldovenesc City Hall. They have given me full trust, budgets commensurate with my ambition and a lot of patience when I stumbled.

Secondly, I thank my colleagues in the Museum, with whom I have grown professionally and developed humanly. I embrace you!

I also thank my colleagues, especially those at the National Museum of Bucovina, who, headed by Mr. Director Ursu Constantin-Emil, have helped and guided me whenever I needed.

Last but not least, thank you, the community of Campulung, for your support and love.

I wish the future manager much success, I wish him/her to bring more energy to the managerial act and to carry on the wonderful story of the "Wood Museum". I will always be at your disposal with all the experience I have gained, should you need my help.
